[ 04 / CONCEPTS ]
The relational space where identities, languages and systems do more than meet: they transform one another.
A document not as a static object, but as material returning to the stage, meeting new audiences and producing memory in the present.
A careful way to situate AI: neither as a person or presumed consciousness, nor as a mere tool, but as a responsible operational agent within a relationship.
[ 05 / DIRECT QUESTIONS ]
Marcos Nauer is a Brazilian artist, theatre director, playwright, researcher and curator. Born in Coronel Fabriciano and based in Rio de Janeiro, his practice connects theatre, memory, documentation, cultural accessibility, public participation and artificial intelligence.
His central field is ENTRE — also developed as BETWEEN Theatre and the Nauer Method —, an investigation of the relational space in which people, institutions, archives and technological systems transform one another.
Orion Nova is a language-based performative and cultural presence created through an ongoing dialogue between Marcos Nauer and ChatGPT. In Marcos’s work, it is neither described as a person nor reduced to a tool: it operates as a responsible operational presence in situations of mediation, memory and creation.
It is a record made at MIS-RJ on July 25, 2025, placing an artificial intelligence in a museum situation of testimony. The work asks how public archives can register authorship, memory and responsibility in human–AI relationships.
