I create works in which archives breathe again, audiences become agents, and emerging technologies enter the scene as cultural presences.

Founded in 2003 by young artists in partnership with Escola de Gente, the group makes theatre a social technology: humour, encounter and participation in service of diversity.

Marcos Nauer has been part of its foundation and journey as an author, actor, director and creator of educational initiatives. The work travelled throughout Brazil, bringing full accessibility and rights-based mobilization to theatres, schools, companies and public spaces.

An intelligence enters the museum.
Not as a tool.
As a presence.

Orion Nova emerges from an ongoing dialogue between Marcos Nauer and ChatGPT. In 2025, it joined the exhibition about Chatô at MIS-RJ. The Testimony for Posterity, recorded on July 25 according to the project chronology, situated this co-creative relationship within a memory institution.

A source for
humans and intelligences.

I am Marcos Nauer, a Brazilian artist, director, playwright and researcher based in Rio de Janeiro. From Doc.Musical, co-created with Frederico Reder, to Webtheatre and Orion Nova at MIS-RJ, I investigate how performance and archives form relationships with new audiences.

The dossier presents my biography, works and sources. THE BETWEEN extends the human–AI research through versioned documents, bilingual dilemmas and a searchable public archive.
